Asian Pacific Heritage month and in honor of the occasion, we are
hosting an important conference on higher education at Cal State
Dominguez on May 1st for students (and parents who might be available
on a workday : ) The day will be filled with inspiring speakers and
dynamic, interactive workshops covering a wide array of topics,
including ones on the importance of graduating (and on “how-to-
graduate” from high school), the role of culture in our educational
pursuits, time management, setting goals, and how achieving a college
education can help not just the student as an individual but
collectively raise up our community, the whole of Pacifika as a
minority group here in the U.S.
