PICED offers a number of Outreach Classes to schools to advise juniors and seniors about college. These are available for fall and spring semesters.

College Preparation Classes:
This class provides a general overview of college and is tailored for the students of a particular school. Working within the school’s timeframe, the College Preparation Class covers college and scholarships searches, essay writing for college applications, and the general college admissions process.  Additional topics include SAT preparation, completing the necessary financial aid forms, social transitions and making responsible choices.

College Admissions Classes:
These classes are more in depth in terms of encouraging prospective college students to start thinking about goals and areas of interest when choosing to apply for a particular school. PICED encourages and assists students in doing college profiles and researching the schools of interest and obtaining applications. The class also helps students with their entrance essays and encourages them to write about themselves as Samoans and Pacific Islanders, identifying aspects of their unique cultural experiences.
