Sep 08, 2006
PICED also provides services for adults in professional development. For example, nurses and technicians wishing to further their careers are turning to PICED for assistance with test taking and general computer skills. These courses are offered on an “as needed basis”.
Professional Assistance Classes:
PICED is now working with health professionals from the local hospital and family health center in preparation for licensing exams. The professionals study the content of the chosen field and PICED provides workshops and training in test taking skills for reading comprehension, writing and critical thinking.
Introduction to Computer Workshops:
PICED offers a generalized workshop for members of the public seeking a basic introductory workshop to computers. Tutorial classes are targeted for working adults who wish to gain practical experience with computers relating to their job and general introduction for students. Programs covered include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
