PiCED Fundraising Totals as of 11/03!

Hey all, here’s the latest snapshot for our fundraising efforts:
Some things to keep in mind: PiCED has been very involved in direct relief services on island and since we work with our local schools (with school-based centers at 7 public schools on island including Taputapu that was destroyed) we are closely in tune with what our local schools need.
As far as infrastructure goes, FEMA is going to take care of that—so school buildings are covered. PiCED in partnership with other organizations and donors from off-island are helping to raise funds to take care of things like school supplies (even though ASDOE will have those covered too—but as the private sector, we can always give more to the teachers and the students) and school uniforms that have to be purchased and sewn. Children whose families were impacted and lost all their household goods have no school uniforms. We are coordinating the whole uniform thing. We have a running list of the needs for the children whose schools were affected, and all monies donated will go towards these needs.
