So I took that Unsubsidized Stafford Direct Loan awhile back but I had to take an academic leave of absence due to personal reasons at the end of February. Unfortunately I could not return to my college for the Spring quarter and since decided to transfer colleges. However their Fall quarter doesn’t start till Sept. 7th. My question is the wording on that 6 month grace period, do they call in payment exactly at the 5month 30day mark or do you have the whole 6th month to stay in the grace period. As it stands I’ll have been not attending for 6months 14 days. If it happens to be the case where they do call it in on the 5month 30 day mark is there perhaps someone I could call to try and work something out because, well, I’m pretty screwed if I can’t.
